Meaco have redeveloped the DD8L dehumidifier and introduced a brand new model – the Meaco DD8L Junior. The two look identical and have the same capacity and performance, but the more expensive model has an air treatment facility with a silver-nano filter to kill bacteria and an ioniser to trap dust/pollen etc in the air. That makes it a better choice if it may be used in the house as well as the garage.

Both feature intelligent energy-saving technology, so when the correct relative humidity is reached, the dehumidifier will sample the air for five more minutes and then turn itself off. It will then turn its fan back on every 30 minutes for five minutes to sample the air. If the relative humidity is still low, it goes back to sleep.
