Entries are now open for the Manx Classic, a three-day sprint and hillclimb event, which will be held on closed public roads in the Isle of Man on 26-28 April, 2012. A National B speed event, the Manx Classic will run one sprint and two hillclimbs at three separate venues on the island, and with 17 classes, there are plenty of opportunities for competitors with cars of all ages, not just classics. Cars spanning 12 decades – from a 1909 Riley to a 2011 Porsche – took part in last year’s event, and the Club is looking to attract a similarly diverse field for 2012.
Supplementary regulations, entry forms, membership forms, travel and hotel info can be downloaded from http://www.manxmotorracing.com/events.htm. The 2012 entry fee has been pegged at the 2011 price, and groups of five or more competitors of period-defined vehicles or of individual marques or models have the opportunity to register their own class, and the Manx Motor Racing Club will supply the group with its own class award trophies.
